Workshops

Evaluate for Change’s 2-Hour workshops are ideal for individuals and teams who are interested in learning how evaluation can help them improve programming, increase fundings, and ensure the biggest possible impact. The workshops walks participants through key concepts, starting from conceptualizing what being a data-driven professional or organization means, to concrete exercises that produce something you can use in your organization.

All workshops include hands-on activity, leaving participants with an understanding of what it will take to build a culture that is truly rooted in evaluation. Our 2-Hour Workshops include:

Taking the Fear Out of Data

We will discuss why so many social sector professionals feel uneasy about using data in their practice. Engaging in an activity around unpacking the anxiety and fear of applying an evaluation will give participants a better understanding of how they can adopt a Culture of Evaluation, while still honoring their clients and communities.

Learning Objectives:

  • What factors contribute to fear of data in the nonprofit sector?
  • How might feelings towards data differ in nonprofit vs. for-profit culture?
  • How do we mitigate these fears and work towards creating a positive culture of learning?
