This month we hosted the Increase Your #GivingTuesday Campaign Infographic Webinar to teach nonprofits how to utilize data visualization to help increase their donations this #GivingTuesday.
Why did we do this?
Because in 2016, #GivingTuesday raised $168 million in charitable donations worldwide. Wow, that’s a lot of money! Don’t you agree?
We can’t give away everything from the webinar, but we will give you three key tips that can help you get a piece of that VERY big pie.
1. Create a Story
Don’t overdo your graphics. Make sure you have data points that tell a story. All information on your graphic needs to contribute to a story and have a connection!
2. Incorporate Color Strategically
Remember colors can help you illicit feelings and if used well can help people process your infographics/charts faster and better
Read: The Right Colors Make Data Easier to Read by Sharon Lin & Jeffery Heer through Harvard Business Review.
3. Utilize Free or Inexpensive Programs
These programs already have templates that can help you cut down on formatting time and you don’t need to have advanced skills to master them.
We released this before we start the clock for the biggest day in giving. We hope you use this information in time for #GivingTuesday to up your game and become a top fundraiser for your nonprofit.
